Dorcas
Dorcas was a wonderful woman in Acts 9:36-39 whose craft for the poor and needy was considered indispensable enough to cause her to be raised from the dead.
Our Dorcas group welcomes women of all ages to 'care for the widows and orphans' (James 1:27) through the work of our hands. We take raw materials and make garments for children in Thailand, Cambodia, China, India, Africa, outback Australia, and the heart-wrenching wee still-borns in our major hospitals.
We meet every Tuesday (sewing group) 1 - 3pm & Thursday (craft group) 9am - 3pm
(in Dorcas room located under Chinese Building).
