For Parents
At Promise Kids apart of our mission is to work with and not a part from the family unit, as together we can do greater things in the lives of the children. So on behalf of all Promise Kids volunteers at WorshipCentre we want to thank you for entrusting us with your child.
Enrollment Procedures:
All children entering into Promise Kids must fill in an enrollment which cover any medication or allergies your child/children may have. This form is located at the sign-in table in each room, so please ask a leader for further assistance if required.
Signing In:
Signing your child in and out on the roll every Saturday and Sunday is very important for children and leaders to ensure maximum safety. Children leaving parents for the first time may be anxious about being left in new surroundings, so please feel free to remain with your child until you feel confident to leave.
Child Protection:
All leaders must hold a current blue card issued by the Commission for Children and Young People, a copy of this is also kept on church file. Before becoming a leader, individuals must also be known by leadership of the church. No leader is permitted to be alone with a child (there must always be at least two leaders present) during Promise Kids.
Discipline:
We try to make our programs fun, fresh and powerful so that a child will not become disruptive. We also use positive reinforcement and team competitions where points are awarded for good behaviour and deducted for inappropriate behaviour. In extreme circumstances a child maybe placed back into the main auditorium with their parent. Parents will be notified of inappropriate behaviour.
Curriculum:
Promise Kids utilizes curriculum from Gospel Light that is age appropriate interactive and relevant to today's kids.
Movies:
All movies shown at all Promise Kids services are 'G' rated. If a PG rated movie is shown, verbal or written consent is always sought by the parent in every circumstance.
