our story

WorshipCentre began its life through the whispering of God to the heart of Pastor Clark Taylor during his years of travelling and ministering in America. Of Australia, God said to Clark, ‘Walk through the land one more time’. Following many prophecies, Clark and Anne registered the original name of Worship & Ministry Centre Ltd on 10 November 2000. Three hundred people attended the first meeting. Five minutes before the start of that service, a wall had to be removed in order to make room for them all. Although many travelled from great distances for the inaugural meeting to show their support for Clark and Anne and their belief that God had a plan for the next chapter of their ministry, a core remained and thus the church was born.

There are now, and have been since the beginning, many trademarks of WorshipCentre, which legally changed its name in 2003. Moving in the Spirit, learning to commune with the Holy Spirit, genuine acceptance and healing are a large part of what you will experience at this Christ-centred church.

The past decade has seen major changes, including several building additions and renovations. Over the years many individuals have helped to make WorshipCentre the loving and gracious church that it is now. There have been many healings and life transformations.

From a humble beginning with only a down payment of $1000 and three months to pay for the building and land, WorshipCentre is now debt-free and has approval for plans for the next stage of building. The extension is needed in order to grow from the current number of 1000+ members.

A new era dawned in 2010, when founding pastors Clark and Anne Taylor invited Paul 'Skip' and Leah Smith to be the Centre’s new lead pastors. Skip and Leah bring a wealth of experience and work together with Clark and Anne to see revival across Australia and the islands of the sea.

Today, WorshipCentre is a thriving family of people who love each other and desire to serve God with an attitude of genuineness and excellence.
